Hindu Yuva Manch Submits Memorandum at Udharbond Circle Office, Demands Stern Action Over Recent Assault Cases

Silchar, April 5, 2025 | BarakOutlet Desk: In response to a series of disturbing incidents involving the molestation and alleged exploitation of Hindu girls, the Hindu Yuva Manch (Assam) submitted a formal memorandum at the Udharbond Circle Office today at 9:45 AM.

The memorandum, addressed to Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, highlighted a recent case in which a Hindu girl was allegedly assaulted and molested by a bus conductor after boarding a vehicle near Badarpur Circle en route to Sribhumiu. The conductor reportedly misbehaved with her and kept her locked inside the vehicle. Upon sensing danger, she managed to send her location to her father via WhatsApp, prompting a rescue effort. The conductor later abandoned her near Lamajua, where locals rescued and admitted her to Sribhumiu Civil Hospital.

The Hindu Yuva Manch noted that this is not an isolated case. Within the last five days, five such incidents have been reported, particularly in Kalain, Katigorah, Hailakandi, and nearby areas. One particular case involved a bus (AS-24C-0111) where two individuals — Jashim Uddin Laskar of Panchgram and passenger Abu Salam of Silchar — were identified and apprehended. The bus was subsequently seized, and further investigations are underway.

The memorandum claims that “certain elements are deceiving Hindu girls, luring them into traps and later blackmailing them using obscene content or threats.” It also alleges the existence of coordinated patterns of what the group terms “love jihad” and “rape jihad,” demanding legal action.

Key Demands of the Memorandum:

  1. Immediate stern action against the accused individuals in the recent incidents.
  2. The implementation of a strict anti-love jihad law in Assam to safeguard the community from such exploitation.

Those present during the submission included Abhishek Chanda, Poem Das, Deep Ghosh, Riyon Malakar, Prosenjit Adikari, Sajan Das, and Prosenjit Ree, among others. The letter carried multiple signatories from the Hindu Yuva Manch Assam branch.

While the authorities have acknowledged receipt of the memorandum, official response or comment is awaited.
