ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISES BADMINTON TOURNAMENT FOR THE YOUTH OF JIRIBAM
08 April, 2025, Jiribam: In a bid to promote sports and youth development, Assam Rifles alongwith Jiri College is organising a two-day badminton tournament for the local youths on 7-8 April 2025 at Bidyanagar, Jiribam, Manipur. The event aimes to promote sports and to provide a platform for the local populace to showcase their talent.
Twenty teams with forty participants are taking part in the open age tournament.
The opening matches of the tournament, saw enthusiastic participation from students and young sports enthusiasts from the region. Assam Rifles is assisting in smooth conducting of the tournament by providing sports equipment.
Jiri College and Assam Rifles aim at organising many such events in the upcoming future to promote a culture of sports and fitness among the youth, while also fostering community engagement and development in the region.
