Presiding over the programme as Chief Guest was Shri Mridul Yadav, IAS, District Commissioner of Cachar and Chairman of the District Health Society. The central theme for this year — “Empowering young people to create the families they want in a fair and hopeful world” — guided the day’s discussions and activities.

A significant highlight of the day was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the District Health Society and the RCGS. As per the agreement, the Rotary Club will adopt the Kumbha Tea Estate for one year, extending quality healthcare services to the estate’s population.

In a major service initiative, a medical camp was also held at the venue. Led by Dr. Ashutosh Barman, a renowned Obstetrics & Gynaecology specialist, the camp conducted both laparoscopy and NSV procedures with the active support of ASHA workers and PHC staff.
