Beginning on September 20, IndiGo will operate morning flights from New Delhi to Silchar via Guwahati.

B O News Desk :  IndiGo Airlines has announced a new morning flight from New Delhi to Silchar via Guwahati, which is set to begin operations on September 20 this year.

Barak Valley Development Minister Kaushik Rai thanked Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his persistent efforts to improve connectivity and convenience for the people of Barak Valley.

Taking to his official X handle, the minister extended gratitude to the Assam chief minister for  considering the needs of the people of Barak Valley and arranging an additional flight.”

“Under the initiative of the Honorable Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, for the convenience of the people of Barak Valley, a new morning Indigo flight service from New Delhi to Silchar via Guwahati will commence from September 20, 2025,” Rai said in a post on X.

Notably, Silchar MP Parimal Suklabaidya had recently urged the Ministry of Civil Aviation in Parliament to address the urgent need for a direct Silchar–Delhi flight, highlighting its importance for the people of Barak Valley.
