Assam Rifles Holds Lecture on Operation Sindoor at NIT Silchar

Silchar, August 28: Reinforcing its commitment to nation-building and fostering youth engagement, the Assam Rifles conducted a lecture on Operation Sindoor at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Silchar, on Thursday.

The event witnessed the participation of over 200 students and faculty members, along with 210 NCC cadets, who gathered to gain insights into the professional ethos and operational preparedness of the Indian Defence Forces.

The lecture highlighted the salient features of Operation Sindoor, underscoring the Armed Forces’ unwavering commitment to safeguarding India’s sovereignty. Attendees were introduced to the challenges of modern warfare, with special emphasis on the pivotal role of air defence in national security.

Beyond imparting knowledge of military operations, the session sought to motivate students to imbibe values of discipline, leadership, and resilience. Speakers urged the youth to draw inspiration from the courage and sacrifice of soldiers, and to channel these virtues into their academic and professional pursuits.
