NSS VOLUNTEERS VISIT HQ IGAR (EAST) AT SILCHAR, ASSAM
Assam Rifles organised a visit for members of National Service Scheme (NSS) from seven Northeastern states to HQ IGAR (East) garrison at Silchar, Assam on 4th Jan 26.
350 students along with their teachers were part of the visit and witnessed numerous activities.
They were welcomed by a thrilling Khukri dance performance by the troops depicting the warrior spirit.
The young minds witnessed a weapon display where they gained knowledge on various weapons held by Assam Rifles unit.
Later on they witnessed a drone display and learned about different types of drones, their usages, advantages and the assistance it provided in carrying out operational tasks.
The team also visited living, training and administrative areas and got a first hand experience on the life, routine and regimen of Assam Rifles soldier.
Such initiatives reflect the continuous efforts of Assam Rifles to instill patriotism, responsibility and a spirit of service amongst the youth.
