Cachar Police Seize Heroin Worth ₹2.2 Crore in Major Drug Bust at Silcoorie Road, Two Arrested.

Silchar, Assam – In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Cachar Police successfully intercepted a vehicle at Silcoorie Road, Sildubi, leading to the seizure of 415 grams of heroin valued at ₹2.2 crore, along with ₹2 lakh in cash. Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the case.

The operation, executed through meticulous intelligence gathering, underscores the relentless efforts of Assam Police under the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to eradicate the drug menace from the state.

Kaushik Rai, in a statement on social media, lauded the police for their dedication and commitment in ensuring a safer society, emphasizing Assam’s zero-tolerance policy against drugs.

This successful bust is part of the broader #AssamAgainstDrugs campaign, reinforcing the state’s determination to combat narcotics and safeguad the features of its youth.
