Awareness Program on Pesticide Residues in Tea Held in Cachar.

The Commissionerate of Food Safety, Assam conducted an awareness program on March 11, 2025, at Bhubandhar Tea Estate, Dholai Bazar, Cachar, to educate the public engaged in tea cultivation about pesticide residues in tea.

The initiative aimed to promote safe agricultural practices and ensure healthier tea production in the region. Experts addressed concerns regarding pesticide use and its impact on tea quality and public health.

Such programs are crucial in enhancing food safety standards in Assam’s tea industry.
