ABVP Demands Immediate Action Against Assam University Student for Derogatory Remarks

Silchar, April 26: The Assam University unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today demanded strict disciplinary action against AK Bahauddin Chaudhary, a student from the Computer Science Department, for allegedly posting derogatory remarks that hurt religious sentiments.

According to ABVP, the student selectively mocked the pain of the victims of the recent Pahalgam terror attack and dismissed their firsthand testimonies as “false.” In a memorandum submitted to the Registrar of Assam University, ABVP strongly condemned the student’s actions, calling them an attack on decency, humanity, and constitutional responsibility.

The organization has demanded immediate rustication of the student, stressing that universities are spaces for learning and nation-building, not for promoting hatred, falsehood, and extremist ideologies. ABVP warned that if action is not taken promptly, they would intensify their protest both on and off campus.

Standing firmly with the victims and their families, ABVP declared, “No Action, No Rest,” emphasizing that no individual supporting terrorist narratives should be allowed to continue in any educational institution.
