
Ambedkar Jayanti Celebrated by Vihan NGO under the Leadership of Nehru Yuva Kendra.
To commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, Vihan NGO, under the leadership of Nehru Yuva Kendra, organized a special program that included a rally and a student assembly.
The event began with a peaceful rally led by members of the NGO, which concluded at the statue of Dr. Ambedkar. The participants paid their respects and reflected on his immense contributions to the nation, particularly in the fields of social justice, equality, and the Indian Constitution.
Following the rally, a student gathering was held, aiming to raise awareness about the significance of Ambedkar Jayanti. The session included discussions on Dr. Ambedkar’s life and values, and concluded with a pledge ceremony to uphold the principles of equality and justice that he stood for.
The program was graced by the presence of Mehebub Alam Laskar, Deputy Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra, and Rahim Uddin Laskar, Accountant. Both guests addressed the students and emphasized the relevance of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision in today’s society.
Key members of Vihan NGO, including Prity Dutta, Sharmistha Roy, Priya Chand, Aditya Nath, Ishita Das, and Kamaldeep Purkayastha, played active roles in organizing and participating in the event.
