ASSAM RIFLES CELEBRATES WORLD TRIBAL DAY IN TAMENGLONG, MANIPUR

B O News desk : Assam Rifles celebrated World Tribal Day in New Kaiphundai and Oinamlong villages under Tamenglong District, bringing together around 150 students and 40 teachers.

The event showcased the rich cultural heritage of indigenous communities through vibrant cultural performances by students, with all children dressed in their traditional dresses and gleaming with pride in their tribal identity. The celebration also included distribution of sweets, adding a festive touch to the occasion.

By organizing this event, the Assam Rifles aimed to promote awareness about preserving indigenous cultures, recognizing the contributions of tribal communities and fostering unity and solidarity, furthering their motto of “Sentinels of the Northeast ”.
