Cachar District Agriculture Officer Inspects Agricultural Projects in Lakhipur

Barakoutlet, February 1, 2025: Cachar’s District Commissioner, Mr. Mridul Yadav, conducted an inspection of various agricultural fields and demonstration plots under different agricultural schemes. The visit was aimed at assessing the progress of ongoing agricultural initiatives in the region.

The inspection took place in the Labokpar 3rd Sector, within the Lakhipur Agricultural Development Circle. The visit covered a variety of crops including potato, mustard, chickpeas, bitter gourd, coriander, French beans, maize, Kusiyar, and banana. These crops are being cultivated under the district’s agricultural development schemes to promote sustainable farming practices.

Mr. Yadav was joined by key officials, including Additional District Commissioner (Agriculture) Mr. Yuvraj Borthakur, District Agriculture Officer Dr. A.R. Ahmed, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer Dr. R. Chakraborty, and Agricultural Development Officer Mr. Tilak Malakar. The inspection also involved other district agriculture department staff members.

The objective of the visit was to evaluate the progress of agricultural projects and explore opportunities to enhance the implementation of these schemes, ultimately aiming to improve agricultural productivity and provide support to local farmers.

Officials noted that such visits are part of the district administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the agricultural sector and ensure effective delivery of resources and support for farmers. The review also provided an opportunity to gather feedback from field-level activities and discuss potential improvements for better outcomes in future agricultural endeavors.
