Cachar District Trinamool Youth Congress Committee Takes Official Charge in Presence of MP Sushmita Dev
Silchar, July 11: In a significant organizational development, the newly constituted Cachar District Trinamool Youth Congress Committee formally assumed charge on Thursday at the district party office in Silchar. The event was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev, a key leader of the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) in Assam.
Addressing party workers and office bearers during the induction ceremony, MP Dev emphasized the crucial role of youth leadership in strengthening grassroots democracy and shaping the political future of Assam. “The youth must lead the movement for inclusive development, social justice, and transparency in governance,” she stated, encouraging the newly appointed district youth leadership to work with integrity and purpose.

The newly appointed committee members were administered their responsibilities amidst a gathering of local supporters and senior Trinamool leaders. The formalization of the Cachar district unit is part of AITC’s broader state-wide organizational restructuring aimed at energizing its base and reaching out to the younger electorate.
Trinamool Congress, under its renewed political strategy in Assam, continues to emphasize youth participation as a cornerstone of its vision for a progressive and secular political alternative in the state.
The event concluded with a renewed call for public engagement, policy awareness, and building a responsive local leadership rooted in the ethos of the Trinamool ideology.
