
Five infiltrators from Bangladesh were apprehended and deported at Sribhumi.
The Assam Police has successfully intercepted five individuals attempting to illegally infiltrate into India from Bangladesh on Thursday. The suspects, Abdulla, Ansarulla, Roshid Ahammed, Md. Kalim Mulla, and Happy Seikh, were apprehended by the Sribhumi Police from the border.
The operation shows the vigilance of Assam police, who work day and night to ensure the integrity and safety of the state’s borders. The arrested individuals were immediately deported to Bangladesh after they were intercepted, as per the regular procedure of the police in dealing with such cases.
The police have reiterated their dedication to safeguarding the region and have called for continued cooperation from local communities to report any suspicious activities.
Earlier, five Bangladeshi nationals were intercepted and deported immediately across the international border. The action speaks volumes of the seriousness of the state towards maintaining border security and enforcing the law of immigration.
The arrested individuals were identified as Md. Iman Miya, Md. Naim Ahmed, Miyazaki Muhammad Rasel, Abdul Kalam Miya, and Md. Munna. Following their arrest, the authorities conducted a rigorous process of verification to ensure adherence to legal requirements before going ahead with their deportation.
Reports indicate that they had entered Indian borders illegally, raising issues on national security. In reaction to this incident, law enforcement organizations have increased surveillance along borders as well as measures to curb other illegal crossings. Authorities have clarified a zero-tolerance policy towards illegal immigration and reiterated that similar actions will always be enforced towards safeguarding national interests.
