Missing Hailakandi Child Rescued from Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminal with Police Coordination

Hailakandi, April 30, 2025: In a commendable display of swift action and interstate coordination, a missing child from Assam’s Hailakandi district was successfully traced and rescued from Lokmanya Tilak Terminal Railway Station in Mumbai, Maharashtra, with the vital assistance of the Mumbai Police.

According to official sources, the child had gone missing under suspicious circumstances, prompting a multi-agency search. After receiving intelligence regarding the child’s possible location in Mumbai, the Hailakandi Police deputed a special team led by ASI Pinak Dutta to the city.

Acting on the lead, the team coordinated efforts with Mumbai Police officials at the Lokmanya Tilak Terminal, leading to the safe recovery of the minor. The child was then brought back to Hailakandi under official custody.

Following due legal and medical formalities, the child was safely handed over to their lawful guardians, bringing a much-needed sigh of relief to the family and the local community.
