Youth Caught Attempting Theft in Bhaga, Beaten by Locals Before Police Arrival

Bhaga, July 9: A youth attempting to steal goods from a local hardware shop in Bhaga was apprehended by vigilant residents late Tuesday evening. The accused, identified as a 23-year-old from a nearby village, was caught red-handed trying to break into the shop around 11 PM.

Eyewitnesses reported that the suspect was initially spotted loitering around the premises before sneaking inside through a rear window. On being confronted, he tried to flee but was quickly overpowered by bystanders.

In a swift act of community justice, the crowd reportedly roughed him up before handing him over to the police. The Bhaga Police outpost confirmed the arrest and stated that preliminary investigation is underway. A case has been filed under sections of attempted burglary.

Shopkeepers in the area have praised the prompt response from locals, but police officials have cautioned against mob justice and urged residents to report such incidents without resorting to violence.
