A 26-year-old woman was hospitalized after an acid attack in Sonamura NC Nagar, Sepahijala district, Tripura, on Sunday night. The assault occurred when the victim stepped out of her home to use the lavatory. Police suspect the attackers are from a neighboring village. The woman, who suffered burns on her hands and legs, is now in stable condition at GBP Hospital in Agartala. An FIR has been filed against three suspects, and the investigation is ongoing, with no arrests yet reported.
