The survey, held from March to May 2025 across 185 plots, recorded 43 grassland bird species, including several threatened and endemic to the Brahmaputra floodplains. Notable findings include a breeding colony of the endangered Finn’s Weaver, highlighting Kaziranga’s vital role beyond its famed rhinoceroses.
