
ASSAM RIFLES CELEBRATES BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF FREEDOM FIGHTER HAIPOU JADONANG AT KAMBIRON VILLAGE, MANIPUR
Assam Rifles celebrated the birth anniversary of renowned freedom fighter, Haipou Jadonang, at Kambiron village in Noney district in Manipur to honour the legendary freedom fighter’s legacy. The event was a tribute to his courageous struggle against British Rule in India.
Born in 1905, Haipou Jadonang was was a spiritual leader, social reformer, and political leader who fought against British colonial rule.

He founded the Heraka religious movement, which aimed to revive the ancient Naga religion and promote unity among the Naga people.
The celebration included various speeches by children on the contributions of Haipou Jadonang, followed by prayer and candle lighting to commemorate Haipou Jadonang’s life and achievements.


Haipou Jadonang’s story is an inspiration to many and his legacy continues to be celebrated across the country. The birth anniversary celebration served as a reminder of Haipou Jadonang’s sacrifices and contributions to India’s freedom struggle and his enduring impact on the nation’s history.
