Assam Rifles Organises Medical Camp at Phaitol Village, Jiribam District

Jiribam, Manipur: In a continued effort to strengthen healthcare outreach in remote and underserved regions, the Assam Rifles organised a comprehensive medical camp at Phaitol village in Jiribam District, Manipur.

The initiative sought to provide essential healthcare facilities, free consultations, and primary medical support to local residents who often face challenges in accessing quality medical services. Villagers from nearby hamlets also joined the camp, reflecting the wide impact of the programme.

The camp was led by a qualified Medical Officer and supported by a dedicated medical team of the Assam Rifles. The services included free medical consultations, distribution of essential medicines, and awareness sessions on preventive healthcare practices. Beyond treatment, emphasis was placed on instilling long-term health consciousness among the community to promote overall well-being.

A total of 218 villagers benefited from the camp, comprising 87 women, 68 men, and 63 children. The overwhelming participation and heartfelt appreciation expressed by the villagers highlighted the significance of such community-oriented initiatives in far-flung areas.

By bringing healthcare to the doorsteps of the underserved, the Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to fostering not only security but also the welfare of the people in the region.
