
ASSAM RIFLES ORGANIZES AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ACROSS ON WORLD MALARIA DAY
Jiribam, 26th April: Assam Rifles observed World Malaria Day with a resolve to prevent the spread of malaria and promote public health. As part of the occasion, Assam Rifles carried out fumigation drives and awareness lectures at Nungba, Rongdai, Tollen, New Kaiphundai, Kadamtala and Tuisilen villages spanning across Tamenglong and Jiribam Districts.
The day started with fumigation drive at public spaces and market areas to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and reduce the risk of malaria transmission. This was followed by awareness lectures for school children, covering issues including Malaria prevention and control measures, symptoms and treatment of malaria and community involvement in malaria prevention. Later on mosquito repellent sprays and mosquito nets.were distributed to public.




This initiative by Assam Rifles aims to educate the community about the risks of malaria and the importance of taking preventive measures.
