Two Bangladeshis Captured Deceiving People While Posing as Sadhus in Assam
In an astonishing incident, two Bangladeshi nationals under the guise of being Sadhu Babas were caught misleading and duping people.
The real identity of the disguised fraudsters came to light when locals grew suspicious of their behavior and repeatedly challenged them to recite the Gayatri Mantra and Hanuman Chalisa. Serious doubts were raised about their authenticity when the duo were not able to chant the sacred verses.
Further investigations found that the imposters were carrying cigarettes in their bags, which added up to the speculations as genuine saints do not usually have such items in their possession.
This discovery gave rise to further skepticism about their dubious identity, compelling the locals to directly confront the bogus individuals.
Their responses to the questions posed to them were found to be unsatisfactory which eventually exposed their deceitful act.
It is believed that such individuals misuse religious sentiments to win the trust of the people as they visit homes under the pretense of spirituality. They carefully observe the surroundings and later grab the opportunity to deceive or rob unsuspecting households.
The presence of these anti-social elements in society has the potential to jeopardize public safety and religious harmony. Henceforth, residents have been alerted to stay cautious and verify the credentials of such individuals before dealing with them.
