Two Cyclists Die in a Tragic Accident in Bishwanath.

In a tragic incident on the Mijika-Tinisuti road in Bishwanath district of Assam, Where two cyclists lost their lives after being struck by an unidentified vehicle. The victims, Nand Koya, aged 57, and 34-year-old Sunil Birja, were residents of the Patharnadi Line in Mizikajan Tea Estate.

The unfortunate accident occurred while the two men were cycling home after completing their work as plumbers. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle involved in the collision fled the scene immediately after the incident. However, it later returned and surrendered to the police. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.

A similar road accident occurred around 2 PM on 17th of April on National Highway 37 on the Ghagharajan bridge in Lakhowjan, Bokakhat. Two motorcycle riders were seriously injured in the accident. Later, one of the victims, Rajiv Sahu (28 years) of Daigroang, Golaghat, died on the way to Bokakhat Kamlabari Civil Sub-Divisional Hospital. The other rider Suraj Goyal was referred to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital for advanced treatment.

The accident took place when an S03E7646 Royal Enfield bike travelling from Bokakhat towards Daigroang collided head-on with a WBSETF7773 oil tanker. The Bokakhat Police seized the tanker involved in the accident.
