
UG Admission Portal Opens in Assam from April 11
BarakOutlet | Silchar | April 12, 2025: The Government of Assam’s Higher Education Department has officially announced the opening of the UG Admission Portal for the academic year 2025. The portal went live on 11th April 2025 at 4:00 PM, allowing students to register for Four-Year Undergraduate Courses and Five-Year Integrated Masters Programmes offered by Government, Private, Provincialized Colleges, PDUAMs, Government Model Colleges, and State Universities across Assam.
📅 Key Dates & Process:
- Portal Opens: 11th April 2025, 4:00 PM
- Step 1 (Registration & Profile Completion): Begins from 11th April 2025
- Step 2 (Selection of Institution & Programmes): Starts after HS/Class 12 results declaration
(Note: Step 1 will remain open even after Step 2 begins.)
📂 Mandatory Document Upload:
Students must have all necessary government-issued documents ready for upload. Those who already possess valid documents can complete their profiles early.
🏫 Responsibilities of Higher Education Institutions:
- Institutions must upload their prospectus in PDF format on the portal by 5th May 2025.
- Merit lists must be processed and uploaded via the SAMARTH portal and respective institutional websites.
- All official notifications must be shared via social media handles and institutional websites for wide outreach.
💰 Key Information for Students:
- No Registration Fee for accessing the portal or applying.
- Students will only pay the prescribed admission fees as per Government of Assam’s approved fee structure. Self-financed courses may involve separate charges.
- Fee Waiver Eligibility: Students eligible can apply under the scheme.
- Separate admission portals and additional charges by any institution are strictly prohibited.
