The Dilu Dhar Memorial Open International FIDE Rating Chess Tournament 2024 concluded successfully in Silchar, with West Bengal’s Shovayan Kundu emerging as the champion. The event, organized by Siddhanandaji Education Trust in collaboration with Marwari Yuva Manch Titans, witnessed participation from 250 players, including international contenders. The closing ceremony featured dignitaries such as District Commissioner Mridul Yadav, who praised the initiative for fostering chess talent. Organizers have announced plans to host the tournament on a larger scale next year to attract even more participants.
