Punjab gangster-cum-drug lord Jaggu Bhagwanpuria has been transferred from Bathinda Central Jail to Silchar Central Jail, Assam under the PIT NDPS Act, 1988. Accused in 128 criminal cases, including drug trafficking, extortion, and arms smuggling, Bhagwanpuria is also linked to the murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala. Authorities believe his transnational network spans Pakistan, Canada, and the US, orchestrating narcotics trade from behind bars.
