The first-ever DISHA (District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee) meeting in Cachar, chaired by MP Parimal Suklabaidya and co-chaired by MP Kanad Purkayastha, brought together key officials to review flagship schemes including PMGSY, Jal Jeevan Mission, NHM, PMAY, MGNREGS, and SBM. Emphasis was laid on timely and quality execution of rural roads, drinking water access, healthcare infrastructure, welfare outreach, and urgent road repairs, aiming to fast-track development across the district.
