To promote industry, Tripura will establish a new integrated bamboo park at Unakoti.

Tripura is set to expand its bamboo industry with the proposed Integrated Bamboo Park in Kailashahar’s Chandipur block, Unakoti District. Under the Tripura Bamboo Mission, the Rs. 162.92 crore project aims to boost bamboo-based industrial growth by establishing modern units for value-added products like activated charcoal, biodegradable utensils, and eco-friendly bamboo fibre cups. Awaiting central approval, the initiative builds on Tripura’s legacy of bamboo innovation, following the success of the RK Nagar Bamboo Park established in 2007.
