Assam University, Silchar, has inaugurated the Swapna Devi Smriti Bhavan, a cultural and academic center built in memory of Swapna Devi (1905–2017), made possible by a donation from former Sanskrit professor Suranjan Pal. The Vice-Chancellor lauded the building as a beacon of learning that will radiate knowledge throughout Barak Valley, advancing classical studies and regional heritage.
