ASSAM RIFLES SEIZES HEROIN WORTH ₹3 CRORES IN CACHAR DISTRICT, ASSAM

B O News Desk : Based on intelligence on trafficking of narcotics in the region, Assam Rifles alongwith Assam Police recovered Heroin worth ₹3 Crores on 16 Oct 25.

The consignment was being transported in a car and seized near Pailapool in Cachar district.

During the operation, the driver, resident of Karimganj was also apprehended and the
car in which the narcotics was being smuggled was impounded.

Assam Rifles has been at the forefront of anti-drug operations in the region, conducting regular operations to disrupt and dismantle narcotics networks. This seizure is a significant milestone in the effort to combat drug trafficking.
